2018 portfolio final

The BBC2 television series Blooming Marvellous in which we are featured  has been brought forward and will now be shown on BBC2  on Wednesday 2nd May 2018 at 6.30pm.

Calling all knitters and crocheters, Chorley in Bloom wants lots more flowers, leaves and bugs again this year. The committee have some new ideas on how to use them which will be unveiled (if we have enough) this summer. We need all sorts of flowers and also many poppies.  By the way the Knitted Photo Frame will be featured in the BBC2 series when the Blooming Marvellous episode on 9th May at 6.30 about Chorley is shown, so all the people who knitted and crocheted during the last 2 years will have a chance of being able to see their handiwork on the television.

What a wonderful group of volunteers this morning. Thank you everyone for your contribution. The bulbs were donated by Birkacre Garden Centre and Avant Garden Centre. At a guess I reckon we must have planted about 500 bulbs: tulips, daffodils and alliums
