About Chorley in Bloom

Chorley in Bloom was formed in 2014 by a small number of interested local residents who wanted to help make Chorley a better place in which to live. Recognising that local authority budgets are constantly under pressure, Chorley in Bloom seeks to complement Chorley Council's efforts by generating revenue through local fundraising activities, sponsorship, donations and grants. These funds are then used to undertake community projects.

Chorley in Bloom's main objectives:

  • To help promote Chorley as the Best Blooming Town in Lancashire.

  • To work with the community and the local authority to beautify and brighten up Chorley.

  • To interface with local businesses, schools, churches and private individuals to obtain their support whether in cash or in kind.

  • To participate in regional and national competitions.
